Mystic Seaport Museum

More than 400,000 people visit this maritime museum every year for the beautiful gardens; the oldest surviving wooden whaleship, the Charles W. Morgan; activities for kids; and Seaport Village, a re-created 19th century seafaring town with dozens of original historic buildings – actual trade shops and businesses from the 1800s – that were transported to Mystic Seaport Museum and staffed with historians, storytellers, craftspeople, and musicians bringing a bygone era to life.

The museum offers events all summer long including an Independence Day Celebration, the Wooden Boat Show, Plymouth Whale Watch Adventure, musical cruises, and others.
