Rhythm and Roots Festival
This Labor Day Weekend the Rhythm & Roots Music and Dance Festival will be in full swing from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1 in Charlestown, RI.
Whether you’re bringing the camper for all three days, glamping overnight, or just spending a day, you’ll enjoy the best of live music, dancing, great food and drink, craft vendors, and lots of fun things to do
for all ages.
Live Music on Four Stages
The Rhythm & Roots Festival offers an exciting mix of musical genres including Zydeco, swamp pop, delta blues, polka, honky tonk, boogie woogie, Cajun, klezmer, rock & roll, and more, and this year’s lineup includes Grammy winners, top bands, and returning Festival favorites performing on four stages.
Rhythm Stage: Seven bands play each day in a concert-style setting.
Dance Stage: A 4,400-square-foot covered stage that’s perfect for dancing.
Roots Stage: Four daily workshops, extended performances, and jams in an intimate setting.
Family Stage: Music, dance, games, crafts, storytelling, comedians, movies, and more.
Activities for Kids
Rhythm & Roots provides a wide variety of activities for kids including free music lessons, a playground, parades, crafts, costume-making, and the Family Stage.
Food and Drink at Rhythm and Roots
One of the best things about the Festival is the food. Vendors provide a diverse assortment of food and drink from burgers and fries, chowder, clam cakes, and gyros to barbecue, Cajun, Creole, Thai, and Middle Eastern specialties. You’ll also find craft beers, wine, coffee, frozen lemonade, and more.
